This birdhouse has three compartments and is very tall – nearly 3′. It can stand alone or hang on a flat surface…wall, fence, etc.
I love Pinterest and get so many ideas there. I tweak them a little to make them my version, but here are some of the things I have made. Some are versions of others’ and some are my originals.
Patchwork gate – inspired by Pinterest. I love this gate. It adds so much character to the backyard.
This is our backyard “shed.” It really was a shed until we remodeled it. Now it is a man cave where the pool table and sports stuff is located. It is heated by wood. At the rear are French doors (salvaged) that open out to the chicken yard. I will post pics of that later. This used to be very ugly on the outside. It was plywood that was very weathered. We salvaged the lumber (2 x 10s) and created the “cabin” look and chinked between the lumber.
Metal junk birdhouse – There are so fun to make. It took me a long time to find the funnel for the roof. I ended up buying it off of ebay for way too much. But I am pleased with the result.
Another idea that can be made using junk. The post is actually four sections from four different table legs that I glued together and wrapped with raffia. The top is a collander and the rack that you set your jars on in the canner. Not sure what I will use this for, but had lots of fun dreaming it up.
